What is Jagratha Samithi?
Jagratha Samithi is a local-level protection mechanism working to safeguard the rights of women and children, ensure their physical and mental well-being, and prevent violence, discrimination, exploitation, and social exclusion against them.
🎯 Objectives
- Prevent violence, exploitation, and discrimination against women and children.
- Provide immediate intervention and support in response to complaints.
- Coordinate with the District Jagratha Samithi, Women’s Commission, and legal aid agencies.
- Ensure that women and child protection schemes and government services reach the public.
- Create a safe and equitable social environment.
- Strengthen community participation and social support systems.
- Ensure social monitoring and timely interventions for the safety of women and children.
