Annual Plan 2025–26: Project Implementation Report (Brief)

Through the Annual Plan 2025–26, Thalayazham Grama Panchayat is implementing various projects aimed at comprehensive development in sectors such as agriculture, animal husbandry, healthcare, housing, sanitation, social justice, women and child development, fisheries, and infrastructure development.

Agricultural Sector

To increase agricultural production, the Annual Plan includes projects for traditional paddy cultivation development, promotion of vegetable cultivation, nutrition gardens, distribution of fruit tree saplings, and supply of agricultural inputs. Special agricultural assistance programmes are also being implemented for Scheduled Caste communities.

Animal Husbandry Sector

Projects are being implemented to increase milk production and improve the income of farmers. These include distribution of cattle feed, supply of mineral mixtures, and procurement of medicines and equipment for veterinary hospitals.

Healthcare Sector

Special projects have been included to improve the functioning of primary healthcare centres through procurement of medicines and equipment, provision of diagnostic facilities, Health & Wellness activities, and palliative care services. Necessary assistance is also being provided to Ayurvedic and Homoeopathic hospitals.

Housing and Social Justice

The Panchayat gives priority to improving housing security and quality of life through projects such as the LIFE Housing Scheme, housing programmes for Scheduled Caste communities, house renovation, construction of toilets, and installation of septic tanks.

Sanitation and Waste Management

Activities such as Haritha Karma Sena operations, distribution of organic waste management systems, biobins, septic tanks, and sanitation facilities contribute to environmental protection and improved sanitation.

Fisheries Sector

Various projects have been included for the welfare of fisherfolk, including distribution of fishing equipment, nets and related materials, and development of basic infrastructure in the fisheries sector.

Women and Child Development

To strengthen the functioning of Anganwadis, programmes including nutritional food distribution, procurement of equipment, child welfare activities, women empowerment programmes, and Jagratha Samithi activities are being implemented.

Scheduled Caste Development

For the social and economic advancement of Scheduled Caste families, the Annual Plan includes projects related to housing, study rooms, drinking water facilities, agricultural assistance, and self-employment programmes for women.

Infrastructure Development

Various projects are being implemented for Panchayat office development, procurement of computers, electrical works, maintenance of streetlights, and development of public facilities.
