Thalayazham Grama Panchayat – Financial Report 2023-24
A brief report on the financial activities of Thalayazham Grama Panchayat for the period from 1 April 2023 to 31 March 2024 has been prepared based on the receipts and expenditure accounts and the Trial Balance.
At the beginning of the financial year 2023-24, the Panchayat had a Cash and Bank Balance of ₹1,44,11,280. During the year, total receipts amounting to ₹6,91,98,041 were recorded, including various taxes, fees and user charges, government grants, funds allocated for specific purposes, interest income, and other receipts. At the end of the financial year, the Cash and Bank Balance stood at ₹2,20,21,304.
The accounts also include funds received for various programmes and activities, such as the Development Fund, Central Finance Commission Grant, Maintenance Funds for Road and Non-Road Assets, Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS), sanitation, health sector activities, and social security pensions.
The financial statements for the year 2023-24 reflect the efficient utilization of the Panchayat’s financial resources and the implementation of various development and welfare activities undertaken during the financial year.
