Thalayazham Grama Panchayat – Administrative Structure
The administrative system of Thalayazham Grama Panchayat is based on a people-oriented and transparent system of local governance. The Panchayat Committee, headed by the President and Vice President, provides overall leadership to the administration of the Panchayat.
To ensure the effective implementation of various development and welfare activities, the Panchayat functions through Development, Finance, Health & Education, and Welfare Standing Committees. These committees play an important role in areas such as development projects, financial matters, health and education activities, and social security and welfare programmes.
The Secretary is responsible for the day-to-day administrative functioning of the Panchayat. The Assistant Secretary, Head Clerk, Accountant, Senior Clerks, Clerks, and Office Attendant contribute to various administrative, financial, record-keeping, and public service activities.
The Gram Sabha is an important mechanism that ensures the direct participation of the people in local governance. Development projects, public needs, welfare activities, and other matters of local importance are discussed through the Gram Sabha.
Thus, through a system in which elected representatives, officials, and citizens work together, Thalayazham Grama Panchayat ensures an efficient, transparent, and people-oriented system of local governance.
